What to do when Blackmagic Cloud cannot be used in a communication environment with security restrictions


Blackmagic Cloud cannot be used in an environment with communication restrictions. Is there a way around it?


Please select "Optimize cloud data communication when accessing the project library" in the "General" tab of the Preferences, restart, and try again.

By checking this, all DaVinci Resolve's Blackmagic Cloud-related communications will go through cloud.blackmagicdesign.com.
This may sometimes solve the problem, but in many cases it will not. In that case, please ask your network administrator to add "cloud.blackmagicdesign.com" to the whitelist of restricted devices such as firewalls and UTMs to enable communication. Also, if you need to specify a port, please open 443, which is used for HTTPS.
