Are fonts that are said to be unavailable in DaVinci Resolve really not usable?

Question

Is there a way to use fonts that are said to be unavailable in DaVinci Resolve with DaVinci Resolve? (This is not some kind of philosophical discussion.)

Answer

There are ways to use it.

First, check if the font can be used with text (TEXT). (For those who are not using Text +.) If you can use it as text and are satisfied with the functions of text, please use it as is.

Text often seems underpowered. Therefore, by devising the text so that it can be handled by Fusion, we can take advantage of Fusion's features and overcome the lack of functionality.

By changing the text clip to a compound clip and importing it into Fusion, you can treat the text as a shape. After that, you can use various nodes on the Fusion page to create double borders, etc. You have to use Fusion to do what is possible with Text+'s inspector on the edit page, so it takes some time, but it's not that difficult.

We recommend that you try it once rather than giving up if it is not available.
