FAQ

Here are answers to common questions about this site.
We will continue to improve this page, so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Why did you create such a site?

Someone's question is surely someone else's question.
It may be a little bit, but the question will surely help someone.

That's why I started this site.

Why are you compiling information about DaVinci Resolve?

This is because we wanted to increase the number of users of DaVinci Resolve so that many people can enjoy highly satisfying video editing.

It used to be that without money, you couldn't learn high-end video processing.
Is there a relationship between the lack of money and the person's power? With that in mind, Blackmagic Design provides products with a sense of mission to provide tools that can be used by professionals at low prices to those who are about to become professionals.

I agree with that idea.

DaVinci Resolve is a product of a company acquired by Blackmagic Design in 2009.
Do you know how much the product was before the acquisition? It seems that it was 30 million yen to 100 million yen. Even in the professional field, only a limited number of people could handle it due to the price. It was originally a color editing software, but now DaVinci Resolve has the functions necessary for video editing. We offer such high-performance software for several tens of thousands of yen, and we also provide a free version that allows you to use about 95% of the functions.

Of course, I think that how people feel about the price of tens of thousands of yen varies from person to person.
However, the paid version of DaVinci Resolve Studio is a one-time purchase, and once you purchase it, you can use future major version upgrades for free.
If you can understand that it is an investment of tens of thousands of yen that lasts a lifetime, I think it is a price that anyone can understand. In this world where subscription products are increasing, I believe that DaVinci Resolve fans will surely increase if you understand that it is a product and company that goes this far.

Even now, it is still said that Adobe's products are necessary for work. Is it really bad? I don't think anything will change unless someone takes the lead. Is it okay to say, "Everyone is using it, so I'll charge monthly too"? Although this can be put in Office software as well.

There are people who started using DaVinci Resolve, but ended up switching to other companies' products such as Adobe because it was too slow and they didn't understand.
We believe that one of the reasons for this is that the amount of information on the Internet is still insufficient compared to other competing software such as Adobe software.
Especially in Japan. There are some articles with outdated information or lack of information, and even if you go to great lengths to search for information, you may not get an appropriate answer.

Someone else must be in trouble.
That's how I started putting things together.

I occasionally see tweets containing "davinci resolve" or "davinciresolve".
I am replying if I can help you with the content of your problem.
If you could be a little more specific, I'd be able to give you a more precise answer.
